I am an interdisciplinary Environmental Economist working at the intersection of research, consulting, and applied technology. I split my time between academic research and consulting/startup work, using data science, economics, and AI to address climate and sustainability challenges. My background includes a PhD in Economics, prior service as a U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer, and years of experience working across a variety of disciplines.

Academic Work

  • PhD in Economics – University of Hawai’i
  • Research Associate at Oregon State University, SEA Lab
  • Specializes in environmental and resource economics
  • Integrates computer and data science, econometrics, and earth system modeling
  • Leads interdisciplinary research spanning environmental/agriculture economics, oceanography, and data science.
  • Develops and calibrates computational models to analyze environmental systems and decision-making

Consulting, Startups, and AI

  • Consultant for climate tech, carbon sequestration, and ag-environmental firms
  • Develops AI and geospatial tools for monitoring and impact evaluation
  • Startup co-founder and advisor focused on educational AI and environmental modeling
  • Builds machine learning pipelines for land use, crop classification, and emissions tracking
  • Leads LCA and economic modeling for innovative sustainability ventures
  • Specializes in high-performance computing, APIs, and real-world deployment

When I am not prototyping new models, I enjoy catching an early morning surf, a long run with an interesting podcast, or playing improvised music.
